Voluntary Assistant

Calder Business Training

At Calder Business Training I voluntary help teach adults, including those with special needs, how to use a computer and help with any projects they might have. One of the hardest projects was showing a student how to use CAD software and a 3D printer to make small model buildings. This also involves showing them how to use a device such as a computer, tablet or mobile phone. I also fix problems either relating to the device, a peripheral device or a network.

TenTen Systems LTD

At TenTen Systems I was a Technical Support Engineer. This involved taking on projects with the team while offering support to the clients. I am currently a member of the British Computer Society. With this I am looking increase my skills further and gain additional qualifications. This membership will also allow me to attend events so that I can develop myself further and interact with professionals more. Also receiving the ITNOW magazine makes sure I can keep up to date with the codes of conduct and the different aspects of the computing society.

I also keep up with technology news by reading the T3 website and magazine. I find this makes me thrive more to know more about what technology is available and how to use it. This also makes sure that I am keeping up to date with the newest technology that is being released.
